Building up a great looking body is every guys dream - and for good reason too. There is nothing more attractive than having biceps that bulge out of your t-shirt, and abdominals that are ripped perfectly into shape. However, adding bulk amounts of muscle to your body isn't the easiest thing in the world. Depending on what your metabolism rate is, you may struggle more than those who seem to be able to easily gain weight. The good news is that if you follow some of the tips in this article, you too will be able to gain some lean muscle mass no matter what your metabolism rates are.

The first ingredient for adding muscle to your body is your diet. Diet plays a massive role in what our bodies look like - and if you really want to pack up on those awesome looking muscles, we need to eat a sumptuous amount of food. That may sound like fun to a lot of people, but in reality; the food that you'll be eating needs to be on it's highest quality. By that, we don't meant eating 10 boxes of pizza and eating junkfoods and cakes - it's all about eating foods that are high in protein and carbohydrates. This does sound like it could be out of your reach now, however, there are actually quite a lot of great tasting foods that are high in protein and carbs. The best and most tasty meals that you can eat are chicken and fish - these are lean meats that can help add pure muscle to our body.

Upon working out, your muscles slightly tear out. There is a period of time after working out where you should try and get as much protein to your body as you can, so you can repair your muscles and build on them. It is very advisable that you eat a proper meal after working out. Leaving anywhere up to one hour after exercise should be fine for helping add muscle.

Upon exercising, you have to make sure that what you're doing is right. The best way to gain muscle from exercise is by lifting weights. However, when lifting weights, you have to make sure that your form is correct and that you aim to do between 3 and 5 reps for each set. Lifting heavy weights is the key to really working your muscles and increasing their mass - just make sure that you don't over do it, or you could end up injured by starting off with too much weight. This leads me to my next point: how do I know where to start?

If this is your first time to weight lifting, then you probably have no idea how to do it properly or where to start! The best thing you can do is take the information from this article on board and get yourself a personal trainer and tell him/her what your goals are. Having a personal trainer will help you get all the knowledge you need in order to add muscle to your body. Hiring a trainer will cut out all the hard work and testing that you would have to do other wise. People will literally waste years of their life trying to add muscle by testing and tweaking their exercise and diet regimes. Sure, some of them will find what they are looking for - but the best option is to hire a trainer who can tell you exactly what type of training to do and what your diet plan should be - that way, you really can get into desirable shape as soon as possible.
